Two-car crash in St Johns Road, Whitstable

A person had to be cut out of a car following a crash.

Fire crews were called just after 10am today to a two-car collision in St Johns Road, Whitstable.

Two fire engines attended alongside ambulance crews.

Hydraulic equipment was used to release one person from a car, who was then were passed into the care of paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Fire crews left the scene just before 11am.

Police also attended and are now calling for witnesses to contact them.

“One of the drivers involved was issued with a Traffic Offence Report for driving without due care and attention,” a spokesperson said.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak to officers should call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 16-0419.”

The ambulance service has also been contacted for comment.
