Police have arrested the occupants of a car for theft offences after they stopped a vehicle while out on patrol.
It comes after two police cars and a police van were seen in London Road, Teynham, after reports of a theft from a nearby shop.
At least 10 police officers, some wearing blue gloves, were spotted.
A police spokesman said three people had been arrested: a 33-year-old man from Sheerness, a 50-year-old man from Sheerness and a 35-year-old woman of no fixed abode.
They remained in custody while inquiries continue.
