A jury panel has been chosen for the trial of two teenagers accused of murdering a dad-of-two on New Year's Day.
Nine men and three women were selected for the case of Stuart Porter, 18, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, and will be sworn in tomorrow morning.
As well the murder of David Young, they are accused of wounding John Smith with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Mr Young, of Beatty Avenue, Gillingham, was stabbed in the thigh during a clash between two groups in Windmill Road in the town in the early hours of January 1.
The 28-year-old builder died in Medway Maritime Hospital four days later on January 5.
The former Robert Napier School pupil had been walking home with friends after a night out at the Casino Rooms, in Rochester, when the trouble started.
Porter, of Buttermere Close, Gillingham, and the other teenager, from Strood, have been remanded in custody.
The trial is expected to last four weeks.
