Time is running out to apply to be KM Charity of the Year.
Applications are open to good causes and registered charities that are making a real difference to the community of Kent.
Each KM Group editor will select a cause to champion for 2014 - and it could be you.
Applying is easy, but the deadline to enter is noon on Monday, October 21. Applications can be made online at www.kmcharityteam.co.uk.
Geraldine Allinson, chairman of the KM Group, said: "Through our Charity of the Year initiative we are able to get closer to and understand the needs of many charities that are doing amazing work to help people across Kent."
Simon Dolby, from the charity department at the KM Group said: "Editors are passionate about making a good choice and want a cause they think will resonate with the local community.
"This means every application is looked at very carefully. The benefit to all those applying is that even those causes not selected will have raised their profile with the editor simply through going through this process, and that is something every charity leader wants."
Mr Dolby added the feedback from charities in previous years has been that the application and decision-making process is open and transparent - and extremely well regarded by the sector.
The KM charity department has a package of measures to reward all those going through the application process including free raffle and auction prizes and fundraising support.
