Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler saw his team get back on track at Priestfield with a win over Stockport County.
In the post-match press conference Hessenthaler (pictured) had special praise for Kevin Maher, who was brought back into midfield alongside man-of-the-match Jack Payne, giving Hessenthaler a "captain’s performance."
Hessenthaler also admitted his decision not to replace Matt Lawrecne was a big risk, after the defender missed 10 minutes of the second half while receiving treatment to a head wound.
