A COMPUTER company has warned fellow Kent businesses to beware of bogus demands for money. The ADM Computing company foiled an attempt to cheat them out of £430 at their headquarters in Chaucer Road, Canterbury.
A vigilant accountant noticed that what looked like an invoice asking for payment was in fact an order form to book an entry in an international fax directory.
Managing director Adrian Bryant said: "This was direct mailing and wasn't paid. But we would like to warn other local businesses of a possible deception that has the potential to cost their companies money."
