Warning after bedroom blaze

FIRE severely damaged a bedroom in a three-storey building in Dover on Saturday night.

Fire crews were called to the house in Castle Hill Road at 7pm.

A blaze on the second floor appeared to have been started by an item of clothing on a lamp.

Watch manager Tony Northcott said everyone was out of the building when they arrived.

He said: "We would warn people not to put any material over a light."
