KENT skipper David Fulton says he delighted to have returned to light training. He faced a hard ball in the St Lawrence nets for the first time yesterday.
And today he joined in catching practice with the rest of the squad ahead of the champisonhip match at Canterbury.
Though his road to recovery may yet be a long one, Fulton began his catharsis by watching the pre-season accident that led to his eye injury on video.
"I’ve watched it twice and I won’t watch it again," he stressed. "It made me wince a bit, but I don’t want it to stay in my mind. It was freakish and just one of those things that happened."
He added: "I don’t think there was anything I could have done to prevent it."
